Our foodbank is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers and trustees. Our mission is to support those in need so we can better the lives of those in our community.
Meet our team:
Project Manager: Patrick Newland
Patrick joined the foodbank in 2020, and has worked to secure funding, develop foodbank operations and support those in crisis. Patrick joined during a challenging period where COVID and the cost of living crisis put many people in a difficult financial position.
Project Coordinator: Amanda Welch
Amanda joined the team in 2022 and handles the day-to-day operations – from food procurement, volunteer availability, and all the finer details of our operation.

We are supported across our 4 foodbank locations by a team of dedicated volunteers that work tirelessly to provide a compassionate and well-delivered service. As a foodbank, we couldn’t operate without the kind support of our volunteers who go above and beyond everyday.
Our food bank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local communities. We now operate 3 food banks in Skelmersdale and 1 in Burscough. Between us, we have helped thousands of people who are in a crisis situation.
Whether its a food parcel or chat, there is a food bank open 5 days per week to help.
We also have a wonderful team who are available most days to help you with debt advice, benefits assistance and other forms of support.
