40 pence for 40 days
Take part in our 40 for 40 challenge this Lent
With people struggling to afford food all over the UK, it is important that we can continue to support families in crisis through our network of foodbanks. They provide essential emergency food, emotional support and practical advice to people who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
“I cried tears of joy at the foodbank. You don’t understand, I had no hope, I was so desperate and they were there for me.” – Mother of one.
The challenge
We are asking people to join us in taking small actions to transform lives by giving up 40 pence for 40 days. With the addition of Gift Aid this comes to £20.
Or if you feel like challenging yourself to give something up during this period, why not donate the cost of what you save towards Skelmersdale Foodbank?
At the end of Lent bank the money you’ve raised and donate it below or send a cheque (made payable to Skelmersdale and District Foodbank and write ‘Lent’ on the reverse) together with this Gift Aid Form to: Skelmersdale Foodbank, Ecumenical Centre, Northway Skelmersdale. WN8 6LU.
Don’t forget to join in with the conversation on social media and let us know if you’ll be taking part in #40for40.
